These lovely wood chains are inspired by the centuries old japanese technique of shou sugi ban, charring wood. These pieces add natural drama to still lifes and look gorgeous coiled in a tableau or on a bookcase. Each is hand assembled and charred, so natural variations and markings will occur. ⁠Also available in 5-link chains.

Atuto founder, holland millis, has worked with skilled craft-workers in honduras for decades. A former peace corps volunteer from north carolina, he leads the atuto group in sabanagrande, honduras, which produces pieces made from clay, metal, stone, fiber, and wood.
